Set up in a minute

  1. Install the app from the Shopify App Store. Default settings are saved for you.
  2. In the app, click Turn on app embed. Your theme editor opens with “CB Right Click Blocker” switched on. Click Save.
  3. Back in the app, pick a preset or adjust the settings, then click Save. Changes reach your storefront within about a minute.
  4. Open your store in a private window and try right-clicking a product photo.

Troubleshooting

Protection doesn’t appear on my store
  1. Make sure the app embed is on: Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds.
  2. Check that protection is enabled in the app and that the page is included on the Pages tab.
  3. Protection is skipped inside the theme editor. Test on your live store in a private window.
  4. If you are logged in as a customer, check the exemptions for logged-in or tagged customers.
My changes don’t show up yet

Shopify may cache your pages for up to a minute. Wait briefly, then reload in a private window.

I published a new theme and protection stopped

App embeds are turned on per theme. Open the new theme’s editor, go to App embeds, and switch on “CB Right Click Blocker”.

Product image zoom stopped working

Turn off Image shield on the Content tab. Some galleries need direct clicks on the image.

Customers can’t copy something they need, like a discount code

Form fields always stay copyable. For other elements, add their CSS selector under Advanced → “Always allow copying in these elements”, for example .discount-code.

How do I protect only product photos?

Use the “Images only” preset, or limit protection to specific sections under Advanced → Protection area.

Common questions

Can it stop screenshots?

No. No app can block screenshots. A watermark helps keep your name on any image that is saved.

Does it affect checkout or SEO?

No. Checkout is never touched, and search engines see your pages exactly as before.

Does it slow down my store?

The script is under 4 KB, comes from Shopify’s CDN, and loads only on protected pages.

What happens when I uninstall?

Shopify removes the app embed and the app’s settings automatically. No code is left in your theme.
